Strategy games released over time
This chart shows the amount of games released over the years in the Strategy genre and the percentage of games released on Steam they account for. The number of releases gives an appreciation of the quantity of games published each year. It often tends to increase naturally, just like the total amount of Steam games released.
The percentage, on the other hand, gives a better view of the trend a genre follows. It shows if, in proportion, the Strategy genre is getting more or less popular. The Review chart will tell us if this trend is a good thing (i.e. players interest is increasing, genre is undercrowded) or if it's the opposite.
