Rating and Reviews (Monthly)
Here you can see XIII's Steam rating and reviews between November 2020 and December 2023. Steam's rating oscillates between 17.5% (November 2020) and 30.3% (December 2023).
With 1.2K reviews Top 15%, XIII could be an indie success or even a small AAA success. The graph seems to be a long tailed distribution. That sometimes means that the marketing efforts were concentrated on the game launch, and that there was no major update or discounts after.
Review Languages
This doughnut chart shows XIII's review languages. The most popular language is English (50%), followed by German (12%). The player's languages are well diversified, with 24 different languages appearing in the reviews. The game is available in 5 languages. Unless the game has a lot of dialogues, translating is usually not a lot of work compared to completing a game, therefore adding more translations is generally recommended.
Time Played
This chart displays the time players have spent in XIII, showing a comparison between positive and negative reviews. The time played is decent, reaching 11 hours in the 80th percentile.
The median play time for the negative reviews is 4.9 times less than the median for positive reviews. When the negative review time is low (median : 110 minutes), it can be a sign that the game crashes on some systems or that players misunderstood the nature of the game (Does the Steam page clearly explain it, with gifs and a gameplay video ?). It can also mean that some players were somehow offended by XIII and decided to review it and get a refund under 2 hours.
