Cinematic tag

This chart shows the amount of games released over the years with the Cinematic tag and the percentage of games released on Steam they account for. The number of releases gives a sense of the amount of games published each year. It often increases, following the total amount of Steam games released.

The percentage, on the other hand, gives a better idea of the trend a tag follows. It shows if, in proportion, the Cinematic tag is getting more or less popular from a developer's perspective. The Review chart will tell us if this trend is a good thing (i.e. players interest is increasing, tag is undercrowded) or if it's the opposite.

The Cinematic game tag peaked in 2022 with 314 games released. The tag's popularity is in a range between 0.03% in 2018 and 0.22% in 2023.

Bear in mind that 2023 is not over yet. The number of releases will continue to increase, but the percentage is already a good estimate of things to come.

The reviews per game as a percentage of the average show that games in the Cinematic tag received between 150% (2020) and 455% (2012) reviews compared to other tags.
