Mods

This chart shows the amount of games released over the years with the Mods feature and the percentage of games released on Steam they account for. The number of releases gives a sense of the amount of games published each year. It often increases, following the total amount of Steam games released.

The percentage gives a better estimate of the feature's trend. It shows if the Mods feature is getting more or less popular amongst developers. The Review chart will tell us if this trend is a good thing (i.e. players interest is increasing, feature is undercrowded) or if it's the opposite.

The Mods game feature peaked in 2010 with 1 games released. The feature's popularity is in a range between 0.1% in 2010 and 0.1% in 2010.

Note that the chart ends in 2010, probably because no game was released in this feature after that.

This graph displays the reviews for games associated with the Mods feature, both as count and as a percentage of all Steam reviews, and the value for an average game. Note that if the normalized and average lines are too small, you can deactivate the review count and % of the average lines by clicking on the legend.

The review count gives a view of the sheer amount of reviews a feature receives, but it also follows the popularity of Steam itself. That is why the normalized value as a percentage of all Steam reviews is often more interesting, as it gives you the popularity trend for Mods feature games.

A standard game associated with this feature received on average between 66 (2010) and 932 (2014) reviews. Bear in mind that it is the average, and it can be strongly influenced by extreme values, like the release of a very popular game with this feature.

The reviews per game as a percentage of the average show that games in the Mods feature received between 66% (2023) and 332% (2018) reviews compared to other features.
